Sutol Engineering designs and manufactures steel logistics facilities for the automotive industry. Based in Kariega (Uitenhage), Eastern Cape South Africa, Sutol Engineering offers mobile metrology and measuring services which can be done by our team in your workshop.
Sutol Engineering Pty Ltd was founded by Justin Loots in 2012. Teamwork, high standards for measuring quality, and excellent customer service have driven the company’s growth steadily over the years. Starting in a 200m² facility, the team has reached incredible milestones such as designing and manufacturing Volkswagens SA’s first robotic project. Sutol Engineering has also acquired the highly acclaimed Mercedes Benz SA contract for the new C-Class. Sutol Engineering operates in a 1300 m² facility and employs over 80 highly capable men and women, and has a BEEE Level 2 accreditation.
Sutol Engineering is on a steady trajectory to lead the automotive industry in the precision and quality of designing and manufacturing steel logistics facilities. Sutol will become the go-to metrology partner for any company that works with steel logistic facilities; adding a layer of quality assurance to any project through their high tech equipment and solutions-minded team.
METROLOGY
We are sticklers for precision at Sutol because measurements are the only assurance we have that our product will work properly on the client’s shop floor. This is the reason Volkswagen has trusted Sutol Engineering for over 6 years and were awarded the job for their robotic off-loading stillages. It is also the reason that we produced the best results for Mercedes Benz SA’s sophisticated quality checks.

Our Technology
A new digital ecosystem to support all 3D measurements in the industrial manufacturing process. This software enables Sutol engineering to partner with you from measurement planning in the design phase to quality control during the execution of measurement. The software has a built-in smart reporting solution so your measurement results are deliverable in an easy-to-read format.

We can pack up our equipment and send our team to fulfil all your on-site measurement projects – it has all been designed to work well on any shop floor, and measure projects of every size and shape.
